When a Woman Loves

When a woman loves the smell in the air changes.
Morning dew tastes a little bit sweeter,
And the warm glow of sunset lingers just a tad longer.

Her love is a gift
An offering
On the altar of The Divine
Spun with golden threads of sacrifice ...
That selfless giving of her Everything.

When a woman loves she loves with her whole heart.
She loves with her mind, her body, her soul, her mouth, her skin ...
A woman loves with her essence, her very breath, her Being.

When a woman truly loves
It consumes her
And she yearns to be consumed.

  1. When a woman loves, she often finds herself with not a lot of time for herself. Her love is all-consuming, all encompassing. As a mom and all the other things that I am and all the things I used to be, I know that at times I haven't included myself in my own circle of love. We starve ourselves to feed others. It's just the way a "woman loves." A woman's love is the closest to that of God's here on this earth: One of the biggest compliments with a dash of curse thrown in.
